Learn360 Teams up with Major League Baseball Players & Volunteers of America

New for the 2010-2011 school-year, the Major League Baseball Players Trust and Volunteers of America are partnering with Learn360 to provide a one-of-a-kind, service-learning curriculum based on their popular Action Team national youth volunteer program. This curriculum will provide high schools educators and their students with videos and printed materials that will help service-learning become part of their curricula and extra-curricular activities. The Action Team national youth volunteer program was created in 2003 through a partnership between Major League Baseball Players Trust and Volunteers of America to inspire and train students to become involved in their communities.

Get In On The Action!

Learn360/Action Team members will have the ability to collaborate and share information about service-learning experiences in order to inspire others to join in. Through the Learn360/Action Team group, members can communicate through Discussion Boards, Blog's and Webinars as well as post user-produced video and print resources—all designed to strengthen connections and promote service-learning among high school students everywhere!

All materials are designed to meet both the needs of the students and the educators. Students will discover new and interesting ways to implement service-learning initiatives in their schools and in their communities from their peers. Educators can be assured that students are meeting high school requirements, developing leadership skills and building character by giving back. Plus, teachers can easily tie service-learning initiatives directly into their curriculum!
